For some reason, I love building things in pairs, as if I didn’t quite get it out of my system the first time. This is the obvious case with this piece & The Torino. I loved the way all the colors worked with the Torino, I had to do it again. I had the most fun with the drawer pulls. I was inspired by an antique dresser I saw in a gallery in Palm Springs, while attending the annual Modernism Show. The shape of the pulls were sleek and stylish. The door pivots on two ball bearings, as almost all the doors on my pieces do, something my dad came up with…I can’t take the credit. I avoid using conventional hinges at all costs. This piece can be used as a bench or table.
